Good morning!

This week we continue to focus on our early Canada research project and our rugs. Research projects should be well on their way to completion. I've been conferencing with each student to monitor their project progress. The research aspect will be due Tuesday May 16.

Art faces are due WEDNESDAY May 10.

POD SHARING will be Wednesday May 24. **Please note the day change**
All student are required to participate in the pod sharing. Dress rehearsal (in school) will be at 1pm and presentation for parents will be at 6:30.  Students will need to wear all black. We are excited to share what we have been working on with you!

Good morning!
I hope everyone enjoyed another long weekend!

Our focus this week will continue to be research and our Canada project.

Reading will be independent this week- focus on word pronunciation, fluency and comprehension.

We will be starting our rug projects next week- every student will need 1 paper towel roll or 2 toilet paper rolls. If you have any wool that can be donated it would also be appreciated.

Math
We will be starting our unit on fractions this week.

Science
We have started to look at Newton's Laws of motion. This week we will be looking at the second and third law. Next, students will have to design and conduct an experiment on one the the laws. This should be super fun!

French
We have started out unit on foods. We have been looking at the vocabulary for different foods and next we will be learning how to ask simple questions that you would ask when ordering at a restaurant.

Good morning!
We have a short and busy week this week!
**Thursday is a half day!** Parent teacher interviews will run with Ms. Lee from 12:30-3:00. If you would like an interview time please email her (jlee@sd73.bc.ca).

There will be no new reading/spelling this week.

Our spring break presentations will be due Tuesday next week.

Welcome Back!
I hope everyone enjoyed their time away! The final term always flies by!
We are out of Kleenex so any new boxes would be appreciated. I'm also collecting paper towel rolls for a project in the spring!

This week we will be getting back into routine with spelling and reading.

Our poetry posters are due on Friday- many students have already finished but it's homework for those that have not.

This term we will focus on our independent research project, identifying key information and writing summaries about that information in order to write research essays.

Good morning!
This is our last week before spring break! What a fast year this is turning out to be!
Your children did a Fabulous job at Festival last week! I am so proud of them!

We will be going to Lloyd George on Wednesday to watch their band concert- permission slips to go home today- they need to be returned ASAP!!!!

This week our focus will be on completing our "Not From" poems- they will be due Friday.
